Nombreux furent les compatriotes qui, malgr\u00e9 eux, se trouv\u00e8rent embarqu\u00e9s dans la guerre non d\u00e9sir\u00e9e de Cuba de 1898.<\/p>\n<p>Les Bassa Rocas, famille catalane de l&rsquo;Empord\u00e0 aux fortes convictions religieuses, trouv\u00e8rent dans la lointaine Am\u00e9rique les instruments pour s&rsquo;\u00e9riger en d\u00e9fenseurs de la langue et de la culture catalanes via les moyens de communication de l&rsquo;\u00e9poque et les diff\u00e9rents entit\u00e9s catalanes alors pr\u00e9sentes en Argentine.
