On peut relier ses premiers vestiges au dolmen de Can Mina dels Torrents, un s\u00e9pulcre n\u00e9olithique fait de dalles de granit construit entre 3 400 et 3 000 avant J.-C.<\/p>\n<p>Entre le VI<sup>e<\/sup> et le I<sup>er<\/sup> si\u00e8cle avant J.-C., le sommet de la montagne \u00e9tait occup\u00e9 par un peuple ib\u00e9rique. Les fouilles r\u00e9alis\u00e9es sur ce site ont permis de d\u00e9couvrir des habitations, des silos et des fours datant de cette \u00e9poque.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019ins\u00e9curit\u00e9 sur la c\u00f4te \u00e9tait telle que l\u2019on construisit, au cours du XV<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle, une tour de surveillance singuli\u00e8re, la plus importante de la commune, qui communiquait avec l\u2019int\u00e9rieur par des sons de cloche ou des signaux de fum\u00e9e. Elle \u00e9tait \u00e9galement utilis\u00e9e comme lieu de culte. Elle est ensuite devenue trop petite pour accueillir tous les p\u00e8lerins qui s\u2019y rendaient, c\u2019est pourquoi, au d\u00e9but du XVIII<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle, on construisit un nouvel ermitage qui comportait aussi un espace de r\u00e9cr\u00e9ation communautaire et une auberge.<\/p>\n<p>Inaugur\u00e9 en 1857, le phare fut la derni\u00e8re des nouvelles structures \u00e9rig\u00e9es.
