Du b\u00e2timent d\u2019origine il reste, \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur et en bon \u00e9tat, le hall, avec ses vo\u00fbtes et ses lunettes, ainsi que l\u2019escalier de pierre qui m\u00e8ne au premier \u00e9tage. Pr\u00e8s de cette grande maison, on trouve l\u2019\u00e9glise dels Dolors, sur un seul \u00e9tage, avec sa porte baroque, son campanile et son clocher.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019h\u00f4pital \u00e9tait financ\u00e9 par des dons d\u2019institutions ou de particuliers, parmi lesquels le grand Mart\u00ed Serr\u00e1 i Avell\u00ed (1713-1785), originaire de Palafrugell, qui a fait fortune au Guatemala et a lui a fait don de 10 000 pesos \u00e0 sa mort.<\/p>\n<p>En 1852, c\u2019\u00e9taient les religieuses de la Pur\u00edsima Concepci\u00f3 qui s\u2019occupaient des patients. \u00c0 partir de 1859, l\u2019\u00e9tablissement les s\u0153urs des Carm\u00e9lites de la charit\u00e9 Vedruna ont repris la direction, puis il est pass\u00e9 \u00e0 la charge des nonnes de Sant Josep jusqu\u2019en 1989.<\/p>\n<p>Dans ses derniers moments, l\u2019\u00e9tablissement a fonctionn\u00e9 en tant que maison de retraite (\u00e0 partir de 1983) et garderie (\u00e0 partir de 1998).
