C\u2019est en 1932 qu\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 pos\u00e9e la premi\u00e8re pierre de l\u2019immeuble con\u00e7u par l\u2019architecte de G\u00e9rone Emili Blanch i Roig (1897-1996). C\u2019est l\u2019un des rares symboles de l\u2019architecture rationaliste qu\u2019on conserve encore sur les terres de G\u00e9rone.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9tablissement a \u00e9t\u00e9 inaugur\u00e9 en 1935 en tant qu\u2019\u00c9cole des arts et m\u00e9tiers et \u00c9cole de langue, puis, en 1938, on y a install\u00e9 la Biblioth\u00e8que publique. Apr\u00e8s la guerre, l\u2019\u00e9cole a restreint ses activit\u00e9s. La biblioth\u00e8que est rest\u00e9e dans l\u2019immeuble jusqu\u2019en 1967.
