Antiguo pueblo de pescadores, formado por varias calas, que todav\u00eda conserva su encanto. Calella de Palafrugell es uno de los pocos n\u00facleos de la Costa Brava donde a\u00fan se mantiene ese ambiente que se respiraba en los pueblos de la zona, antes de que llegara el turismo de masas, con calles estrechas, casas con cubierta inclinada de teja y algunas viviendas tradicionales de pescadores de dos plantas.
\nEste pueblecito pesquero est\u00e1 situado en una costa rocosa, formada por peque\u00f1as calas, al norte del paraje natural de Castell – Cap Roig, ideal para paseos o excursiones en bicicleta, y al sur del tambi\u00e9n n\u00facleo costero y tur\u00edstico de Llafranc.
\nEn verano, en los Jard\u00ednes de Cap Roig se celebra el festival musical Festival de Cap Roig y tambi\u00e9n el Ciclo de Conciertos de Verano en la iglesia de Sant Pere, que organiza Juventudes Musicales de Palafrugell. El encuentro anual de habaneras, que re\u00fane miles de personas en la playa de Port Bo, es uno de los actos m\u00e1s conocidos de la zona.<\/p>\n

Calella de Palafrugell dispone del sello PUEBLO CON ENCANTO y el sello BARRIOS Y VILLAS MARINERAS que otorga de Agencia Catalana de Turismo. Este sello certifica que se trata de un lugar con un atractivo o belleza especial, que cautiva y enamora al visitante. El sello viene dado por la conjunci\u00f3n de aspectos y elementos arquitect\u00f3nicos, urban\u00edsticos, patrimoniales, medioambientales y tur\u00edsticos.<\/p>\n
