Ya constaba en el siglo XII, aunque el edificio actual es del siglo XVIII. Clavados en la puerta se conservan unos herrajes, posiblemente procedentes de una iglesia rom\u00e1nica.<\/p>\n<p>Las viviendas que se conservan en el n\u00facleo pertenecen a los siglos XVII, XVIII y, principalmente, al XIX, dada la prosperidad de los negocios agr\u00edcolas y forestales del momento.<\/p>\n<p>Destaca la casa de la familia del indiano Joan Bassa i Bosch y de Irene Rocas i Romaguera, construcci\u00f3n de finales del siglo XIX que la familia abandon\u00f3 cuando emigr\u00f3 a Argentina. En la buhardilla se conservan unos grafitis de despedida.<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente es el Centro Cultural Bassa-Rocas, que fue una escuela p\u00fablica y ahora es la sede de la Asociaci\u00f3n de Vecinos de Llofriu, de Retecork y un punto de visita de la Ruta de los Indianos de Palafrugell.<\/p>\n<p>Llofriu cuenta con un n\u00facleo de viviendas organizadas alrededor de la carretera de Girona llamado \u201cLa Barceloneta\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Otro edificio que cabe destacar es el Mas Pla, casa solariega agr\u00edcola de la familia de Josep Pla, donde vivi\u00f3, escribi\u00f3 y muri\u00f3.
