Desde la \u00e9poca medieval, la gente viv\u00eda en el interior por el peligro de incursiones por mar, y en la costa se encontraban los guardabotes o \u201ctiendas\u201d donde se guardaban las herramientas de pesca.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Las primeras familias de pescadores se instalaron all\u00ed a mediados del siglo XIX y, poco a poco, se construyeron salinas y tabernas. Aun as\u00ed, las playas de Aigua Dol\u00e7a, Tamariu y Es Porti\u00f3, que forman la bah\u00eda, eran espacios de recreo para las familias de Palafrugell que iban a pasar el d\u00eda.
