Los primeros vestigios los podemos relacionar con el dolmen de Can Mina dels Torrents, un sepulcro de corredor neol\u00edtico construido con losas de granito y datado entre los a\u00f1os 3400 y 3000<br \/>\na. C.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>La cima de la monta\u00f1a estuvo ocupada entre los siglos VI y I a. C. por un poblado \u00edbero, cuyas excavaciones han puesto al descubierto viviendas, silos y hornos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>La inseguridad de la costa fue el motivo por el que se construy\u00f3, durante el siglo XV, una singular torre de vigilancia, la m\u00e1s importante del t\u00e9rmino municipal, que se comunicaba con el interior mediante toques de campana o humaredas. Tambi\u00e9n se usaba como lugar de culto. La afluencia de peregrinos hizo que se quedase peque\u00f1a y, a principios del siglo XVIII, se construy\u00f3 una nueva ermita que contaba tambi\u00e9n con un espacio de recreo comunitario y una hospeder\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El faro, inaugurado en el a\u00f1o 1857, fue el \u00faltimo de los edificios que se construyeron.
