Posiblemente, este sitio con vistas privilegiadas de la costa era el punto de reuni\u00f3n de los operarios que esperaban la llegada de los barcos en la \u00e9poca en que Calella funcionaba como puerto de cabotaje.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>En este punto, coexisten los elementos tradicionales de la Calella marinera (los guardabotes en la playa del Port Pelegr\u00ed y el n\u00facleo de pescadores en levante) con la nueva Calella tur\u00edstica. Las primeras viviendas para veraneantes se construyeron a finales del siglo XIX y principios del siglo XX detr\u00e1s de la Punta dels Burricaires, la llamada \u201cBarandilla\u201d, y en la playa dels Canyers, que los primeros ocupantes rebautizaron como Sant Roc.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>En poniente destaca el edificio de los Banys d\u2019en Caixa, una gruta cubierta donde pod\u00edan darse ba\u00f1os de agua caliente y de olas. Se inauguraron en 1899, dentro de la corriente que se hab\u00eda impuesto entre las clases pudientes de darse ba\u00f1os con aparentes finalidades terap\u00e9uticas.
