{"id":208704,"date":"2024-09-20T13:51:42","date_gmt":"2024-09-20T13:51:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/visitpalafrugell.ergatesweb13.ovh\/esglesia-de-sant-pere\/"},"modified":"2025-07-03T11:22:22","modified_gmt":"2025-07-03T11:22:22","slug":"esglesia-de-sant-pere","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/visitpalafrugell.ergatesweb13.ovh\/es\/esglesia-de-sant-pere\/","title":{"rendered":"IGLESIA DE SANT PERE"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><strong>IGLESIA DE SANT PERE<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El proceso de construcci\u00f3n de la iglesia se inici\u00f3 en 1854, a\u00f1o en que Moss\u00e8n Collboni, rector de Palafrugell, envi\u00f3 un informe a la Di\u00f3cesis de Girona en el que se\u00f1alaba la conveniencia de crear una nueva parroquia en Calella.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>La primera piedra se puso en 1885 y se cubri\u00f3 en 1886. Y, un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s, se hizo la b\u00f3veda, el presbiterio y el campanario. El 19 de octubre de 1887, el obispo bendijo la primera campana, llamada Teresa de Jes\u00fas, y el sacerdote, la iglesia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Por problemas de financiaci\u00f3n, la obra no pudo acabarse, pese a que ya se usaba para el culto. La soluci\u00f3n vino de manos de la fil\u00e1ntropa Dorotea de Chopitea (1816-1891), chilena viuda de Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Serra (hijo del indiano palafrugellense Mariano Serra i Soler). En 1889 se restaur\u00f3 la iglesia y se construy\u00f3 una rector\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Entre los a\u00f1os 1958 y 1968, se restaur\u00f3 el edificio y se embaldos\u00f3 la plaza bajo la direcci\u00f3n de Joan Pericot i Garcia (1907-1987), d\u00e1ndole el aspecto actual, renovando el reloj y coronando el campanario.
